Direct your browser to TEGRIS Fire™. The primary log in screen looks as shown below.

Since this is your first time using the site, click on the “New User? Sign Up here” link.

General Details

On the “Create a New Account” page, fill in the empty fields using the information that pertains to your role as an Authority. Be sure that the email is active. Enter a phone number as well. On the right side of the screen, click on the drop-down menu for Role and select Authority. The page layout will then change to give you access to Authority specific details.

Authority Details

This is the name of your office, department or organization. This should be specific and official. The Authority Address is the official mailing and/or physical address of your offices.

The jurisdiction is the region or other criteria that defines where you have authority. The jurisdiction name should be preceded by your state abbreviation followed by a comma and your jurisdiction name. For example; WA, Lynnwood.

Two more things

You’ve now entered all the information we need to start your account and give you access to TEGRIS Fire™. To finish though, you will need to do two things. The first is to review and accept the Terms and Conditions of TEGRIS Fire™. First click on Terms & Conditions to display them.

Depending on how your browser is set-up you may see the Terms and Conditions in a new browser window or under a new tab. Click on the appropriate tab to switch from page to page. After you’ve read the Terms and Conditions you can return to TEGRIS Fire™ by clicking on the TEGRIS Fire™ Tab.

The other thing you need to do is demonstrate to the site that you are a human being and not an automated software robot. The picture with fuzzy irregular lettering is a code that machines will not recognize. Enter the letters and numbers exactly as you see them. If you can’t make sense of the lettering as shown, then click on Try New Code and TEGRIS Fire™ will give you a different picture with a different code. Keep trying if you still don’t recognize the lettering.

Sign Up

Click on Sign Up to complete the process. If you didn’t leave anything blank you should see a screen presented that looks much like the following figure. If you did leave something blank you’ll see an explanation of the missing or wrong entry. Fix what’s wrong and try again. In the banner that thanks you for signing up with TEGRIS Fire™ you note the words “Click here to Login.”

Now you should check your email at the address you provided during sign-up. In that email, pictured below, you’ll find your login credentials with a temporary “single use” password. You will use this password the first time (and only the first time) that you log in to TEGRIS Fire™. After that first log-in, you’ll change your password to something of your own choosing.

Finally, click on Get Started to get started. This launches your default browser (if not running) and opens the Log In page shown previously. Log in with your email and temporary password. Once logged in, you will be asked to provide your new password. Note the helpful hints on the right side of the screen when creating your new password. First enter your old password (the temporary password that was emailed to you) and then enter your new password twice. The two entries of your new password will be compared to make sure you entered it correctly.
